George Fox University (GFU) is a Christian university of liberal arts and savoir and professional studies positioned in Newberg, Oregon, United Areas. he university was founded in Newberg, Or, in 1885 by Quaker pioneers, at first serving as Friends Pacific Academy for many years before becoming a college or university in 1891 as Pacific College.[6] The Bruin mascot name comes from an actual carry cub found in 1887, in the Coast Range's foothills near Carlton, about 15 miles (24 km) west of Newberg. The cub's mom had been shot and students from Pacific Senior high found the young keep and brought it back again to campus.
