The newest York State Attorney Standard announced a wide-ranging exploration into problematic practices in the car donation industry. A review of charitable organizations that fundraise through car donations revealed what looks to be many different bogus practices that deceive contributor and divert funds from those in need. Since a result of his review, the Attorney Standard has subpoenaed fourteen non profit organizations, fundraising companies, and individuals involved in the car donation industry. Throughout the state marketing seeking donations of used cars can appear in newspapers, billboards, and in other places.
